SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary School) Location: Harrogate, North Yorkshire Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-time / Term-time (Part-time considered)About the RoleWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Harrogate from September.This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and thrive within a nurturing and inclusive environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN (e.g. Autism, ADHD, speech and language, SEMH)Assist the class teacher in delivering adapted and inclusive lessonsSupport the implementation of EHCPs and Individual Education Plans (IEPs)Encourage pupils'' social, emotional, and academic developmentPromote positive behaviour and reinforce school expectationsHelp create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environmentWork collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCo, and external professionalsSupport with personal care if required (training provided)Monitor and record pupil progressAbout YouWe are looking for someone who is:Patient, caring, and genuinely passionate about supporting children with additional needsAble to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staffAdaptable and resilient in a busy school environmentA strong team player with a positive, proactive attitudeEssential RequirementsExperience working with children or young ..... full job details .....
