Are you an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful difference to a child''s educational journey?

The Supply Register is recruiting on behalf of Beckfoot Priestthorpe Primary School for a full-time 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to start in September 2026. This rewarding role involves providing dedicated support to a pupil with additional needs, helping them thrive both academically and personally within a nurturing primary school environment.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, approachable and resilient, with the ability to build positive relationships and provide consistent support throughout the school day.

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with special educational needs
• Implementing tailored strategies to support learning, engagement and emotional wellbeing
• Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school staff
• Encouraging independence while providing appropriate levels of support
• Promoting positive behaviour and creating a safe, inclusive learning environment
• Building a trusting and supportive relationship with the pupil

• Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs
• Experience working with pupils with complex needs and behaviours that may require additional support
• A positive, patient and personable approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A calm, resilient and proactive attitude
• Someone who can bring energy, enthusiasm and consistency to the role

• Full-time role (Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 3:30pm)
