SEN Teaching Assistant
The Teach Team are looking for compassionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to work within a specialist college supporting young people aged 16-25 with a range of additional learning needs.This is a highly rewarding role where you will support students to develop their independence, confidence, communication skills, and life skills, helping them prepare for adulthood in a safe and nurturing environment.Working alongside experienced teachers, therapists, and support staff, you will play a key role in ensuring every student receives the individualised support they need to achieve their personal goals.Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with a range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD), and complex needs. Support students with classroom activities, vocational learning, and the development of independent living skills. Encourage communication, social interaction, confidence, and emotional wellbeing. Assist students with mobility and physical support where required. Provide personal care, including support with toileting, changing, feeding, and maintaining personal hygiene, ensuring each student''s dignity, privacy, and wellbeing are always respected.
