Supply Desk is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 and small-group support within a Southampton school.

You''ll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to help a pupil access their education, develop independence and feel confident within the school environment.

This is an ideal role for an experienced TA, support worker or someone looking to build a career within SEND education.

• Provide focused 1:1 and small-group classroom support.
• Help pupils access and engage with lessons.
• Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Encourage communication and social development.
• Assist with interventions and personalised learning.
• Build a trusting relationship with pupils.
• Support independence and self-confidence.
• Communicate effectively with teachers and support staff.

• Experience with children, young people or vulnerable individuals.
• SEN experience would be highly desirable.
• Calm, patient and nurturing approach.
• Ability to build strong professional relationships.
• Confident and consistent when supporting behaviour.
• Excellent communication skills.
• DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
