This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by helping students build confidence, develop communication skills, and access learning in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with class teachers to adapt lessons for pupils with hearing impairments 
- Support communication through the use ofandnbsp;radio aids, visual cues, and lip-reading techniques 
- Provide 1:1 and small group interventions focused on language, listening, and social skills 
- Assist with the implementation ofandnbsp;IEPs, risk assessments, and therapy care plans 
- Collaborate with the SENCO, families, and external professionals, includingandnbsp;Teachers of the Deaf 
What We''re Looking For:
- Previous experience working with pupils withandnbsp;Hearing Impairments (HI), or a strong interest in developing this skillset 
- Understanding of SEN and inclusive classroom practices 
- British Sign Language (BSL) Level 1-3andnbsp;orandnbsp;Makatonandnbsp;(desirable but not essential) 
- Experience supportingandnbsp;phonics
