SEN Teaching AssistantSmile Education is currently working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Walsall to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with additional needs, particularly those with behavioural challenges, within a structured and supportive environment.Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant role:Work one-to-one or with small groups of students with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needsSupport pupils with additional learning or behavioural challengesHelp deliver targeted interventions to improve student engagementDe-escalate challenging situations calmly and effectivelyPromote inclusion, trust, and consistency throughout the school dayTo apply for this SEN role, you will need:Experience supporting students with SEND and behavioural needsBackground in PRUs, behaviour units, or alternative provisions (advantageous)Strong behaviour management and resilience under pressureAbility to build positive relationships with students and staffA genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learningBenefits of this SEN Role:Daily rate of 90-120PAYE and Umbrella payment optionsHoliday pay of 12.07%Referral scheme up to 200Dedicated consultant working within your areaAre you the dedicated Teaching Assistant we are looking for?
