Teaching Assistant (PMLD)Newham Full Time Term Time Only 95 - 105 per daySANZA Teaching Agency is recruiting a Teaching Assistant (PMLD) to join a primary school in Newham. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning disabilities within a specialist provision.Working alongside teachers, therapists and support staff, you will help pupils access learning, develop communication skills and achieve their individual goals.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport pupils with PMLD and complex needsAssist with communication using PECS, communication boards, eye gaze and other AAC systemsSupport sensory learning activitiesProvide personal care where requiredPromote independence and social interactionFollow programmes set by teachers and therapistsMonitor pupil progress and engagementSupport emotional wellbeing and positive behaviourRequirementsExperience supporting children or young people with PMLD or complex needsPatient, resilient and caring approachStrong communication and teamwork skillsCommitment to inclusion and equalityConfidence supporting pupils with personal care needsPay and ProgressionPay ranges from 95 to 105 per day, depending on relevant experience and specialist skills.
