Early Years - SEN Teaching Assistant - ASD Resource Base Brent Primary School September 2026 Start A welcoming Brent primary school is seeking an experienced and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to join its specialist EYFS ASD Resource Base from September 2026. This rewarding role involves supporting a small group of six children with Autism (ASD) within a purpose-built unit attached to a mainstream primary school. You will work alongside two experienced support staff, delivering high-quality support under the guidance of the EYFS Lead, who is responsible for planning and overseeing the curriculum. Your Role as a SEN Teaching Assistant: Support a small group of six children with Autism (ASD) throughout the school day within the school''s specialist resource base. Work collaboratively with two other Teaching Assistants to provide a safe, structured and engaging learning environment. Deliver learning activities planned by the EYFS Lead, adapting your approach to meet individual communication, sensory and developmental needs. Encourage children''s communication, independence, social interaction and emotional regulation through play-based learning and structured activities. Support children with transitions, personal care (where required), sensory regulation and daily routines. Use positive behaviour strategies and consistent approaches to help children feel secure and ready to learn.
