GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistantfor a local school in Weymouth, starting immediately to provide tailored support to students, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will play a vital role in creating an inclusive learning environment. You will be working closely with teachers to support students with a range of needs, offering one-to-one and small group support.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and group support to students with SEN.
- Assist in implementing individual learning plans and differentiated activities.
- Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support the development of students’ confidence, social skills, and independence.
- Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to monitor progress and adapt support.
Requirements:
- CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience working with children, ideally within an SEN setting.
- A degree in Psychology, SEN, Counselling or a similar field is desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
