About the Role
Teach South is supporting a specialist SEN school in Southampton to recruit an SEN Teacher on a full-time contract. The salary ranges from £34,069 to £46,940 per annum. The successful candidate will deliver inclusive education to pupils with additional learning needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Strong behaviour management, differentiation, and communication skills are essential. Teach South is supporting a specialist SEN school in Southampton with the recruitment of a passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join their team and make a real difference to the lives of young people with additional learning needs.

The Role:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to pupils' individual learning needs, abilities and interests.
- Support pupils with SEMH, ASD and a range of additional learning difficulties.
- Create a positive, nurturing and structured learning environment where pupils feel safe, valued and encouraged to succeed.
- Adapt teaching approaches and resources to meet a variety of educational, emotional and behavioural needs.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues and families to promote pupils' progress, wellbeing and development.
- Encourage confidence, independence, positive behaviour and a love of learning.
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has a genuine passion for helping children and young people overcome barriers to learning.
- Is patient, resilient, adaptable and confident in building positive relationships with pupils.
- Can differentiate lessons and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Is committed to creating an inclusive, supportive and engaging classroom environment.
- Has experience working with SEN pupils, or is a mainstream teacher keen to develop their skills within a specialist setting.
