SEN Teacher - SEMH School

Academics are currently working alongside a small and supportive SEMH school in Canterbury who are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEN Teacher, mainstream Teacher with a strong interest in SEN, or an experienced HLTA looking to take the next step in their career.

The school is a small specialist setting supporting just 10-20 pupils, creating a calm, personalised environment where staff can build strong relationships with pupils and make a genuine difference to their education and development.

As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible learning to pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, adapting your approach to meet individual learning and behavioural needs.

You will be supported by multiple Teaching Assistants within the classroom, allowing you to focus on teaching and pupil progress while benefiting from a strong level of classroom support.

The smaller school environment also means less marking and planning than you may typically experience in a larger setting, giving you more opportunity to focus on the pupils themselves.

SEMH experience is preferred, but the school is open to speaking with strong candidates who have the right attitude, confidence and transferable experience.
