SEND Teaching Assistant (TA) - Lancaster Area

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND BSL Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a supportive school in the Lancaster area.

Role Details:

• Hours: 08:30 - 15:30 (Monday to Friday)

• Pay: From -110 per day DOE

• Location: Lancaster area

About the Role:
You will be supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them access learning and achieve their full potential. This may include working 1:1 or with small groups, providing tailored support, and assisting with both academic and social development.

Requirements:

• Previous SEN experience in a school setting is highly beneficial

• If you have not worked in a school, you must have SEN experience in another sector (e.g., care, youth work, support work, etc.)

• BSL (British Sign Language) Level 4 or above is essential

• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is required (or willingness to obtain one)
