We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN (Special Education Needs) / SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health).We are looking for SEN / SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Buckinghamshire. You will work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with a variety of learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner to raise engagement and improve their educational journey.What we offer our SEN / SEND Tutors can be found below.

The SEN / SEND Tutor roleProvide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
Young people are referred by local authorities and schools and may require support in educational and social-emotional development
Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilitiesPlan each teaching / tutoring / mentoring session
Deliver holistic, engaging sessions that meet needs and advance educational and social-emotional development
Complete lesson reports and provide progress feedback
SEN / SEND Tutor requirementsProfessional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
Minimum 2 years teaching experience
Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other needs
Knowledge of safeguarding processes
Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
Two professional references
Based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, including for remote/online assignments
It is a strict requirement that you promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies at all times.
SEN / SEND Tutor Employment StatusThis position involves engaging with us as a Worker for short-term engagements as they arise
You will work through a contract for service and be paid via PAYE
We do not offer a set amount of work or expenses coverage
Our insurance covers the work you do for us
This is not a self-employed tutoring / self-employed teaching position
