Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Salary: -88.95 - -105.00 per day
Contract Type: Full-Time, Part-time Term-Time Only

About the Role:
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants for SEN schools in Southampton and Hampshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you''ll work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN

  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment

  • Support pupils'' social and emotional development

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents/carers

  • Contribute to classroom activities and learning resources

What We''re Looking For:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN

  • A caring, patient, and positive approach

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • The ability to work well as part of a team

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) are advantageous but not essential
