TeacherActive is proud to be working with a supportive and inclusive school within a well-established Trust in Birmingham. The school is committed to creating a nurturing environment where pupils with SEMH needs are supported to thrive both academically and emotionally.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated SEMH Teacher on a temporary, full-time basis. The successful SEMH Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons, supporting pupils with complex behavioural needs, and working closely with support staff to provide a structured and positive learning environment.

The successful SEMH Teacher will have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
• Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate challenging situations
• A solid understanding of trauma-informed practice and inclusive teaching strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers
• A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
• A proactive ‘can-do’ attitude
