Security and Pastoral Officer Location: Rotherham Job Type: Temporary (3 Month Contract initially - with the potential to be extended Working Hours: Full Time Salary: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience) The Role We are seeking a Security and Pastoral Officer to join a Further Education college in Rotherham on an initial 3-month temporary contract. Working across the campus, you will help ensure a safe and secure environment while providing support to students, including young and vulnerable learners. Key Responsibilities Maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. Monitor and patrol campus buildings and grounds. Respond effectively to incidents, safeguarding concerns and emergency situations. Operate CCTV systems and complete incident reports as required. Support students with pastoral issues, welfare concerns and behavioural matters. Liaise with safeguarding, student services and curriculum teams when appropriate. Ensure compliance with site security procedures and health and safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service and act as a professional ambassador for the organisation. Requirements Previous experience working within a security role. Experience working within an educational setting and/or with young people and vulnerable individuals. Valid SIA Licence. CCTV Operator qualification/licence. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations. ..... full job details .....
