Overview
Sector Advisor NVQ- Healthcare Support Diagnostic Imaging Support role at Pearson. The Sector Advisor will remotely sample learner work against the unit content and assessment criteria to determine if the learner has met the standard. They will work with the Standards Verifier to recommend whether units are being assessed to national standards. The role requires occupational competence and evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in the units they are sampling. This role would usually involve remote sampling with physical travel only in exceptional circumstances.We Are Currently Recruiting Only For Following Specialism:
Healthcare Support Diagnostic Imaging Support.Responsibilities
Familiarise yourself with the specification to refer to unit content and assessment criteria when sampling.Provide proof of relevant CPD annually for the appointed specialism(s).Undertake sampling of learner work to ensure valid and reliable assessment decisions and that national standards are met.Provide sector-specific support, advice and guidance to the Standards Verifier.Complete the Sector Advisor Report Form (SARF) with details on whether assessment decisions meet the criteria; submit to the Standards Verifier for verification.Report back to Pearson and the Standards Verifier following sampling within agreed service-level agreements (5 working days).Undertake online supplementary training annually.Undertake other duties appropriate to WBL Assessment related to this role.Support centres to understand and implement identified actions through collaboration with the Standards Verifier.Requirements and Qualifications
Essential:Experience required: Be occupationally competent in one or more pathways of the qualification. References to the relevant units and links to the units are provided in the original job description.Skills and Knowledge:Willingness to engage in online training and standardisation; use of technology-based communication tools.Excellent communication (written and verbal), IT and interpersonal skills.Good working knowledge of the specifications within the area of expertise for the role.Customer-focused approach; time management; ability to submit reports within service level agreements (5 working days).Ability to work effectively as part of a team and understand the implications of decisions made on Pearson’s behalf.Desirable:Experience delivering and assessing competence-based programmes.Evidence of CPD in assessment and delivery of vocational qualifications.Word processing and basic spreadsheet skills.Requirements:Any associate undertaking this role must:Have personal IT equipment capable of running Pearson-required software and a suitable internet connection.Have a personal and secure email account.Have a UK or Republic of Ireland postal address; declare any conflicts of interest that could impact the role.Have availability for a minimum of 8 allocations in any given year.Abide by the terms and conditions stated in the contract.About Pearson
