Liverpool, Manchester, North WestA major Civil Engineering contractor is currently seeking a Senior Engineer to work on a range of Network Rail projects across the North West Region, primarily Manchester, Warrington, Liverpool and Preston. Excellent chance to progress within a permanent opportunity.Duties/responsibilities will include:Carry out setting out duties accurately and on timeEnsure quality control requirements are met and recorded in accordance with the customer specificationOperate and promote a high standard of health and safety and environmental complianceSupport the overall achievement of Perfect DeliveryDeliver pre-start briefingsInstall survey controlEnsure procedure is observed in relation to trigger levels for alignment control and the appropriate actions are takenEnsure all work is in accordance with the method statementConduct quality control checks and build recordsMonitor and record all quantities of materials usedAssist Sub Agent/Section Engineer in ensuring all operations are carried out safelyStand in for Section Engineer when requiredMonitor compliance with method statements and safety dictates specific to theseRead and understand engineering drawingsCheck operator competence certification if new to taskDeliver method statement briefings and risk assessments and ensure all operatives have appropriate training for the taskEnsure the works are executed to the quality planControl the works dimensionallyRecord the works for the shift and keep diaries, technical and quality records as appropriateImplement permit to dig systemsEssential Criteria:5 years+ experience working for a contractor on a civil engineering or construction projectA Qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction e.g HNC, HND or a DegreeNetwork rail experienceMust have worked for a main contractorPTS CardIf you believe this role may be for you, please submit a copy of your CV and our civil engineering team will get back to you as soon as we ..... full job details .....
