SCO 2 Competent Person

We are currently seeking an experienced SCO 2 Competent Person to support an upcoming project based in the New Forest. The role will involve working on a high-pressure gas site, carrying out critical maintenance activities to address a leaking flange in a safe and controlled environment.

• Act as the SCO 2 Competent Person on site, ensuring all works are carried out in line with current gas safety regulations and company procedures
• Safely oversee and/or carry out the repair of a leaking flange on a high-pressure gas installation
• Implement and maintain strict adherence to permit-to-work systems and safety protocols
• Liaise with site supervisors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and safe completion of the works
• Conduct site risk assessments and ensure appropriate control measures are put in place
• Ensure compliance with SCO procedures, IGEM standards, and all relevant industry regulations
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as required

• Valid SCO 2 Competent Person certification (essential)
• Proven experience working on high-pressure gas systems
• Demonstrable experience in flange repair or similar mechanical maintenance activities
• Strong understanding of gas safety regulations and procedures
• Ability to work safely in a high-risk environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
