Science Teacher – Solihull – SEMH - ASAP Start 
Science Teacher required for a specialist Alternative Provision in Solihull. Are you a qualified Science Teacher looking for a new challenge? Do you hold QTS and have experience supporting students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour? This is an excellent opportunity for a Science Teacher to join a supportive specialist setting and help students overcome barriers to education.
As a Science Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging Science lessons to students who may have experienced difficulties within mainstream education. The Science Teacher will need to combine strong subject knowledge with a calm and consistent approach to behaviour management, building positive relationships and encouraging students to engage with their learning. Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour is essential, and the successful Science Teacher must hold QTS.
Job Role:

• Teaching Science to students within an Alternative Provision setting.
• Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons.
• Adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs.
• Managing challenging behaviour using a calm and consistent approach.
• Building positive relationships with students.
• Supporting students to overcome barriers to learning.
• Monitoring progress and providing appropriate feedback.
• Working closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider school team.
• Creating a safe, structured and positive learning environment.
