School Finance Assistant

Part-time (20 hours) | Immediate Start | Leicester | Temporary

I am working with a well-established college to recruit a Finance Assistant to support their busy finance team. This is a full-time temporary opportunity with an immediate start, ideal for an experienced administrator or finance professional looking to work within education.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process purchase orders, invoices, payments, and supplier queries
• Carry out bank reconciliations and manage petty cash
• Support payroll administration and staff expense claims
• Maintain accurate financial records and finance systems
• Liaise with suppliers and assist with month-end reporting
• Support compliance with financial policies and procedures

WHAT YOU''LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Previous administration and finance-related experience
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• School or college experience is desirable but not essential
