School ChefAnnual Salary: £28,025 - £32,443Location: Northwood, MiddlesexJob Type: Full-time (Term time basis considered with prorated salary)Join a prestigious educational institution with a rich history, set in 280 acres of parkland. We are seeking a Sous Chef to support the production of over 1200 meals daily in a fast-paced catering environment. This role is integral to maintaining high standards of food preparation and presentation in accordance with the institution''s standards.Day-to-Day of the Role:

Produce food for the days menu to required standards, including managing ovens and food service counters.Communicate clearly with team members to guide food preparation and delivery, ensuring food is available for service times and meets quality standards.Assist in menu development and ensure adherence to budget constraints.Maintain kitchen equipment and safety measures, and assist in cleaning and organizing the kitchen and storage areas.Monitor food storage and kitchen cleanliness, adhering to health and safety regulations and HACCP systems.Support the catering team by covering during absences and participating in school events as required.Required Skills and Qualifications:

Qualifications in City and Guilds 706 1and2 or NVQ Level 3, and a valid Hygiene certificate.Experience in high-volume catering, ideally within educational settings, producing over 1000 meals daily.Proficient in advanced cooking and preparation techniques, with knowledge of food allergens, compliance regulations, and dietary requirements.Strong organizational and communication skills, able to work independently and under pressure.Benefits:
