School Caretaker / Premises Assistant £16.00 - £19.00 per hour Various Shift Patterns Available Temporary and Temporary-to-Permanent Opportunities We are currently recruiting for reliable and hardworking School Caretakers / Premises Assistants to work across a range of schools in East London. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with previous school caretaker, premises, maintenance, handyperson, or DIY experience who are looking for flexible work with the potential for permanent employment. Available Shift Patterns 6:00am to 2:00pm 8:00am to 4:00pm 10:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday Duties Will Include Opening and locking school premises Carrying out basic maintenance and repairs General DIY and handyperson duties Health and safety checks around the site Setting up rooms and furniture for school events Assisting with deliveries and site security Monitoring and reporting building maintenance issues Ensuring the school site remains clean, safe, and well-presented Candidate Requirements Previous caretaker, premises, maintenance, handyperson, facilities, or general DIY experience Good practical skills and ability to carry out basic repairs Reliable, punctual, and proactive approach to work Good communication skills Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively DBS Requirement An Enhanced DBS Certificate is required for this role.
