Description
- Financial Management: Oversee the school''s financial operations, ensuring effective budgeting and resource allocation.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across the school.
- Human Resources: Manage HR functions including staff records, recruitment processes, and personnel support.
- Compliance: Maintain adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Administration: Lead and manage administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Operational Support: Provide strategic and practical support to enable the school to function efficiently.
- Leadership Support: Allow the senior leadership team to focus on teaching and learning by managing operational tasks.
Profile
A successful Business/Office Manager should have:
- Proven experience in financial management, including budgeting and reporting
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within an educational or public sector setting
- Knowledge and experience in human resources processes and compliance
- Ability to manage administrative operations efficiently
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and relevant administrative software
- Ability to work collaboratively with the Headteacher and leadership team
- Experience in compliance and regulatory frameworks
- A proactive and solution-focused approach to operational challenges
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritise effectively
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Previous experience in a similar role within a school environment would be preferred.
Job Offer
- A salary range of -38,221 - -40,778 per annum, depending on experience.
- Fixed-term (6 - 12 Months) maternity contract with a possibility of contributing to impactful projects in the not-for-profit sector.
