As a Business/Office Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations and administrative functions to ensure efficient support for the organisation. This role in the not-for-profit sector requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Description

  • Financial Management: Oversee the school''s financial operations, ensuring effective budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across the school.
  • Human Resources: Manage HR functions including staff records, recruitment processes, and personnel support.
  • Compliance: Maintain adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Administration: Lead and manage administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Operational Support: Provide strategic and practical support to enable the school to function efficiently.
  • Leadership Support: Allow the senior leadership team to focus on teaching and learning by managing operational tasks.

Profile

A successful Business/Office Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in financial management, including budgeting and reporting
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within an educational or public sector setting
  • Knowledge and experience in human resources processes and compliance
  • Ability to manage administrative operations efficiently
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and relevant administrative software
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Headteacher and leadership team
  • Experience in compliance and regulatory frameworks
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach to operational challenges
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritise effectively
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Previous experience in a similar role within a school environment would be preferred.

Job Offer

  • A salary range of -38,221 - -40,778 per annum, depending on experience.
