Timeplan are currently working with a specialist education setting in Harrow who are looking to appoint an experienced School Business Manager on a full-time temp to perm basis

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, proactive and experienced school business professional to take responsibility for the effective management of the school''s financial, administrative and operational functions.

Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school, while contributing to its continued development and improvement.

The Role:

• Overseeing the school''s financial management, including budgets, forecasting and financial reporting
• Managing HR processes, recruitment and staff-related administration
• Responsibility for premises, facilities, health and safety and compliance
• Line managing administrative and support staff
• Supporting the senior leadership team with strategic planning and decision-making
• Managing procurement, contracts and school resources
• Ensuring effective administrative systems and processes are maintained
• Preparing reports and management information for senior leaders and governors
• Ensuring statutory and regulatory requirements are met
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and value for money

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working as a School Business Manager, School Business Professional, Operations Manager or in a similar education-based role
• Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting and reporting
• Experience of HR, premises management and health & safety
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure
• A proactive, professional and solutions-focused approach
• Experience working within an education setting
• Relevant qualifications or significant experience in school business management would be advantageous
