Sales Executive (Road Freight)

West Thurrock, Essex

-40,000 (negotiable) + car allowance and bonus

Overview:

This large international transport and logistics business is seeking a bright, enthusiastic individual with a passion for sales to join their commercial team.-

The role will have responsibility for getting out there to find new customers and re-engage with existing accounts to help grow commercial revenues in their UK & EU Road Freight division.-

Access to the Thurrock area would be beneficial but the role could be done on a hybrid basis.-

Responsibilities of this-role:

• Own the sales journey from spotting opportunities through pitching and presenting to launching happy new customers for road freight services.
• Build a strong pipeline across the UK & EU road freight market.-
• Lead customer meetings, presentations and site visits.
• Represent the business at industry events and exhibitions.-
• Get to the heart of customer challenges and help to design freight and logistics solutions that work in conjunction with the Head of Sales.

The person for this role:

• Ambitious, tenacious and hungry with some pre-existing sales experience in the Freight / Logistics industry. Experience in road freight would be preferable.-
• Proven experience in sales and business development and used to interacting with customers to understand their needs and develop solutions that fit.-
• Excellent commercial awareness and the confidence to prospect, start new conversations and build opportunities from scratch.-
• Engaging communication, presentation and negotiation skills.-
• The role could suit someone looking to move from an internal sales role to a field based sales role.-
