About this position:
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering company seeking a driven Sales Executive/Business Development professional to support continued growth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a proactive approach to sales who enjoys building relationships, developing new business opportunities, and growing existing customer accounts within a technical environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Generate new business opportunities through proactive sales activity.
- Build and develop long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Identify customer requirements and provide suitable engineering solutions.
- Manage and grow key customer accounts.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and support the sales process through to completion.
- Work closely with internal engineering and project teams to ensure excellent customer service.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular updates on business development activity.
Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a sales, business development, or account management role.
- Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
- Experience generating new business and developing existing accounts.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
- Experience within an engineering, manufacturing, automation, or technical environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
