Road Space Coordination Engineer

Your New CompanyOur client is responsible for managing and coordinating road space across Scotland''s trunk road network, ensuring essential maintenance and infrastructure works are planned efficiently while minimising disruption to road users. Due to a period of sickness absence within the team, they are seeking a Temporary Road Space Coordinator to join their established team on an initial 3-month contract, with the potential for the role to become permanent to provide additional resilience within the function.Your New RoleAs a Road Space Coordinator, you will play a key role in planning and coordinating roadworks across Scotland''s trunk roads. Working closely with internal stakeholders, contractors and local authorities, you will help ensure works are scheduled effectively, conflicts are avoided and network disruption is kept to a minimum.You will utilise systems such as the Scottish Road Works Register (SRWR) and, where possible, CMS Traffic Scotland, to manage road space bookings, review planned activities and coordinate works programmes.This is a hybrid role offering flexibility around working patterns, with an 8-hour working day scheduled between 07:30 and 17:30.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and plan roadworks activities across Scotland''s trunk road networkManage road space applications and bookings through SRWRReview planned works to identify and resolve network conflictsLiaise with contractors, traffic management providers and key stakeholders to minimise ..... full job details .....
