About the Role
Pertemps Edinburgh Contracts is seeking a Retail Assistant to join a city centre venue in Edinburgh on a temporary, part-time basis. This role runs until September 2026, offering 21 or 24.5 hours per week from Sunday to Wednesday, between 0915 and 1715, at £14.27 per hour. The position involves providing customer service, processing card and cash payments, and upselling products. Key responsibilities include handling deliveries, answering calls, creating merchandise displays, and responding to visitor inquiries. Previous retail experience is required for this role, which supports a cultural venue in the EH1 area.

Role – Retail Assistant
Location – Edinburgh City Centre (EH1 area)
Days of work – Sunday to Wednesday
Hours of work – Either 24.5 hours or 21 hours (between 0915 – 1715 daily)
Start date – as soon as possible
Duration – Until the end of September 2026
Pay rate - £14.27 per hour
As a Retail Assistant, you will be:
Providing excellent customer service
Processing payments by card and cash
Upselling products and promoting sales
Processing deliveries
Answering calls
Creating attractive displays of merchandise
Answering visitor inquiries
Any other tasks as required
