About the Role
Pertemps Edinburgh Contracts is seeking a Retail Assistant for a temporary assignment in Edinburgh City Centre (EH1 area). This role involves Sunday to Wednesday working, with 21 or 24.5 hours per week between 0915 and 1715. The position pays £14.27 per hour and runs until the end of September 2026. Duties include delivering excellent customer service, processing card and cash payments, upselling products, handling deliveries, answering calls, creating attractive displays, and responding to visitor inquiries. Previous retail experience is required for this role.

Days of work – Sunday to Wednesday
Hours of work – Either 24.5 hours or 21 hours (between 0915 – 1715 daily)
Start date – ASAP
Duration – Until the end of September 2026
Pay rate - £14.27 per hour
As a Retail Assistant, you will be:
- Providing excellent customer service
- Processing payments by card and cash
- Upselling products and promoting sales
- Processing deliveries
- Answering calls
- Creating attractive displays of merchandise
- Answering visitor inquiries
- Any other tasks as required
