Residential Childcare Worker

Overview

We are looking for staff to support a Residential Children’s Home in Abergavenny. Roles are available in the surrounding areas. A permanent and rewarding opportunity involves supporting young people, often from difficult backgrounds, with care, emotional support and behavioural support.Responsibilities

Provide care and emotional support to children in the home.Assist with activities, outings, meals and chores to ensure high-quality care.Support with essential life skills such as cooking, cleaning and educational resources.Provide pastoral support while being supported by permanent staff members.Occasional day trips and outings may be required.Requirements / Qualifications

Experience in care, ideally with young people.A qualification in Residential Children’s Work would be advantageous.Training and refresher training are provided (Completely Care offers free refresher training).Details
