The Repairs Coordinator role

We are looking for a repairs coordinator to effectively manage the end to end job delivery highlighting any delays or issues and proactively seek a resolution via the contractors and escalating where appropriate to the contracts manager. To be the point of contact for the business for contractor related chase ups and queries and process payments for all managed contracts.

This role is part of our Property Directorate where you'll help us to lead the way keeping our promise to more than 100,000 customers.

What you'll achieve

  • To provide Orbit customers with the assurance of a dedicated and customer focused approach for repairs delivery. Ensuring our homes and communal places are safe, well maintained and that our contractual obligations to customers are delivered effectively and efficiently,
  • You will work as a key part of the wider Repairs team in supporting Orbits “Customer Commitments” while demonstrating close financial control and aiding with contractor performance management.
  • You will support the Senior Repairs Managers and collect, analyse and provide regular analytical information related to repairs delivery and to provide financial, project and administration support. To Process applications for payment, invoices and completion certificates, applying updates to the management system to ensure that asset data is consistently updated across the business.

What you'll bring

Essential skills

  • Strong communications with written and verbal directions effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Letter writing
  • Computer literate – Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams. 
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent including English and Maths.
  • Any relevant NVQ or other similar qualification desirable – for example Customer Service or Business Administration.
  • Experience of data analysis and management reporting.
  • Exceptionally customer orientated and detail focused and demonstrates a passion for delivering consistently good customer outcomes
  • A highly effective individual capable to motivate, engage with field-based teams and contractors to deliver optimum performance.
  • Very good team player
  • Able to influence other team members and stake holders.
  • Strong commercial background
  • Resilient and an eye for detail
