Registered Manager - Domiciliary Care

Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Salary: -40,00045,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to lead and develop a busy domiciliary care service in Sheffield.

This role would suit a confident, visible and highly organised care leader who is comfortable managing a large workforce, driving operational performance and maintaining consistently high standards of care and compliance.

You will take ownership of the day-to-day running of the service, leading the team, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting the continued growth and development of the branch.

• Lead, motivate and develop a large team of care and office-based staff
• Create a culture of accountability, performance and high-quality care
• Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding requirements and relevant legislation
• Maintain high standards of person-centred care, care planning and risk management
• Lead auditing, quality assurance and continuous improvement activity
• Oversee recruitment, retention, supervision, appraisal and performance management
• Take ownership of operational issues and ensure actions are followed through
• Build strong relationships with clients, families, healthcare professionals and commissioners
• Manage safeguarding concerns, complaints and investigations effectively
• Support the growth and development of the service through strong relationships and reputation
• Work closely with the senior leadership team on operational, commercial and strategic objectives
• Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota when required

We are looking for a strong care leader who is:

• An experienced people manager who can lead and develop a large workforce
• Operationally confident, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy domiciliary environment
• Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and accountability
• Quality focused, with a genuine commitment to excellent person-centred care
• People focused, able to engage, support and develop teams while maintaining professional standards
• Commercially aware, understanding the importance of recruitment, retention, capacity, utilisation and sustainable service growth

• Significant management experience within domiciliary care, home care or a comparable adult social care setting
• Experience leading and developing a large care workforce
• Strong understanding of CQC requirements and the responsibilities of a Registered Manager
• Experience managing safeguarding, complaints, investigations and quality concerns
• Experience with audits, quality assurance and improvement plans
• Strong recruitment, retention and people-management experience
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Confidence managing competing operational priorities
• Level 5 qualification in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or an equivalent/relevant qualification
