As a dynamic and growing accountancy firm with over 1,000 employees, we are seeking a Regional Finance Director. We are looking to appoint a commercially-minded Regional Finance Director to join our expanding finance team. This pivotal role will provide end-to-end financial support across month-end processes, budgeting and forecasting cycles, long-term planning, and commercial decision-making. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player with a can-do attitude, partnering with both internal and regional stakeholders. They will bring a curious and innovative mindset, combined with strong people skills, to offer insight and challenge that drives strategic business outcomes. A driven and focused individual, they will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and a passion for delivering meaningful change.Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results.Prepare, review, and analyse monthly management accounts including PandL, WIP, aged debt, and regional balance sheet reconciliations.Collaborate with the wider finance team to identify and implement process improvements that enhance the efficiency and accuracy of reporting.Lead the planning, preparation, and delivery of annual budgets and rolling forecasts in collaboration with business unit leaders.Provide variance analysis with actionable insightMonitor financial performance against budgets and forecastsSupport the creation and maintenance of long-term financial plans to align with Dains’ strategic objectivesWork closely with Business Development and Regional Leadership to evaluate new opportunitiesMonitor and analyse work-in-progress and debt levels across regionsPartner with operational teams to improve working capital performanceMaintain ownership of regional balance sheets, ensuring integrity and accuracySkills, Knowledge and Expertise
Education:
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)Professional Experience:
Proven experience in a finance business partnering or commercial finance roleIndustry Knowledge:
Strong understanding of management accounting, forecasting, and budgetingAnalytical Skills:
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detailCommercial Awareness:
Commercially astute with strong business acumenCommunication Skills:
Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholdersTechnical Skills:
