Recycling Team Leader

A1 Jobs have an excellent opportunity for a Team Leader to work with our client, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of recycling operatives in the safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant processing of recyclable materials. As a Team Leader you will ensure productivity targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality, health and safety, and customer service. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of recycling operatives. Allocate tasks and monitor staff performance throughout shifts. Ensure recyclable materials are sorted, processed, and stored correctly. Conduct quality checks to minimise contamination and maximise recycling rates. Monitor workflow and productivity, ensuring operational targets are achieved. Train, mentor, and support new and existing team members. Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and health and safety procedures. Carry out toolbox talks and safety briefings. Report equipment faults and liaise with maintenance teams when required. Complete operational records, reports, and documentation accurately. Manage attendance, timekeeping, and shift cover where necessary. Investigate and report accidents, incidents, or near misses. Promote a positive team culture and encourage continuous improvement.
