About the Role

A Receptionist is required for a temporary role in the City of London, offering £15.00 - £18.00 per hour plus holiday pay. Working hours are either 8am to 5pm or 9am to 6pm. This position involves delivering professional front-of-house service, including welcoming visitors, managing telephone calls, and handling meeting room bookings. Additional duties include overseeing visitor sign-in procedures, processing post and deliveries, and providing general administrative assistance to the wider team. The ideal candidate will have prior reception experience and strong organisational abilities. Maintaining a tidy reception area and assisting with ad-hoc office tasks are also key aspects of this role.

Hours: 8am until 5pm / 9am until 6pm

We are currently seeking an experienced and professional Receptionist to join our client on an ongoing temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy front-of-house environment and enjoys delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing a warm and professional welcome to all visitors
  • Answering and directing incoming telephone calls
  • Managing meeting room bookings and visitor sign-in procedures
  • Handling incoming and outgoing post and deliveries
  • Providing general administrative support to the wider team
  • Maintaining a tidy and organised reception area
  • Assisting with additional office duties as required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience in a receptionist or front-of-house role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A professional, friendly, and approachable manner
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • A reliable and flexible approach to work
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
