A prestigious Oxford institution is seeking a confident and experienced Reception Manager to lead its busy front-of-house operations. The role is the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors, ensuring a professional welcome while overseeing security, incident response, and day-to-day Lodge management.
You will:
- Lead and motivate a team of Lodge staff, ensuring round-the-clock coverage.
- Manage security, access control, and emergency procedures.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.
- Oversee risk assessments, health & safety compliance, and first aid readiness.
- Coordinate with multiple internal departments for smooth operations.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven leadership and team management experience in a service-focused or security-related environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong organisational skills, IT proficiency (MS Office), and a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and respond to emergencies.
- Experience with security systems, risk management, and health & safety compliance is highly desirable.
