Reach Driver / Warehouse Operative

Major Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a Reach Driver / Warehouse Operative to join our prestigious worldwide manufacturing client based in Chadderton.

This is a great opportunity to join an industry leading manufacturing who excel in their field.

A Reach FLT licence is essential to be considered for the role, an FLT Counterbalance licence is highly desirable although not essential.

General duties to include:

• High level of accuracy with all Warehouse operations required
• Loading and unloading duties in a safe, controlled and efficient manner
• Storage of product correctly ensuring protection against damage with storage locations accurately recorded
• Accurate picking, appropriate packaging and timely dispatch of product
• Correct issue and receipt of materials and finished goods to and from Production
• Continuous cycle counting
• Control of Customer returned goods
• Ensure accurate Navision entries are being made at all times
• Ensure that a high level of housekeeping is maintained across the Warehouse at all times
• Ensure appropriate manual handling techniques are being used by the Warehouse Team
• Use FLT and material handling equipment safely and competently
• Notify Manager of any Health and Safety hazards

The above is a non-exhaustive list of duties, and you are expected to undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by your Manager

Pay Rate: -13.16 per hour (Further pay increases once fully trained and permanent)

Working Hours: fixed Afternoon shift Monday to Friday 2pm - 10.10pm (38 hours per week) training will be held on a day shift for approximately 4 weeks.

Skills and experience:

• Reach FLT Licence (essential)
• Counterbalance FLT Licence (Highly desirable)
• Experience within a busy Warehouse environment (essential)
• Ability to use initiative, delegate and deliver results
• Well organised, confident and self-motivated
• Proven strong leadership skills with a drive for continual improvement
• Good communication skills
