Location: Southampton, Hampshire Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent (part-time considered) Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience) Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier by negotiation) About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join our Humanities faculty in Southampton. The successful candidate will inspire students through engaging lessons that encourage reflection, understanding, and respect for different beliefs and values. You will deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute to A Level or Sixth Form teaching if suitably experienced. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver well-structured, thought-provoking lessons in line with the school s RE curriculum and national requirements. Foster a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, respect, and open-minded discussion of philosophical, ethical, and moral issues. Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students. Contribute to the development of schemes of work, assessments, and departmental resources. Support the school s ethos and values by promoting spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development. Participate in departmental meetings, training, and wider school activities such as assemblies, trips, or enrichment events.
