RE Teacher – Full Time (Maternity Cover)

About the Role

GSL Education is working with a welcoming secondary school in Fareham to appoint a passionate and committed Religious Education Teacher. This is a full-time maternity cover position starting in October 2025, running for the academic year, with the possibility of becoming a permanent role.

You’ll be joining a supportive department, delivering inspiring RE lessons that encourage students to explore, question, and respect a variety of beliefs and values.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach engaging RE lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4
• Plan and deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes discussion and respect
• Track, assess, and report on student progress
• Contribute to departmental planning and school life

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching RE at secondary school level
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• A commitment to inspiring students and fostering curiosity
