Rail Programme Manager and Senior Project Manager

Are you a Programmer Manager or Senior Project Manager with experience delivering new rail stations or depots? Do you have previous experience of working client side?We are pleased to present two significant new contract opportunities to work on Transport for Wales projects.Location: Pontyprid 3 days a week - 2 from homeContract length: Initial 6 months with likely extensions (projects are in early stages)Rate: Programme Manager £500-£550 a day outside IR35Senior Project Manager £450-£500 day outside IR35Both roles are offered on an initial six-month basis with a strong likelihood of extensions, commencing in mid-October.These positions are confirmed to be outside IR35.Roles

Programme Manager

— Project Focus: dedicated to the new build Station project, a major capital investment initiative. Day Rate: £500-£550 per day. Key Responsibilities: leading the planning and delivery of the project, reporting directly to the Project Director, managing project teams, and handling extensive stakeholder engagement with entities such as the Welsh Government, the supply chain, and Network Rail.Senior Project Manager

— Project Focus: new Interchange project, replacing the existing station with a new integrated bus and train interchange. Day Rate: £450-£500 per day. Key Responsibilities: reporting to the Programme Manager, with direct line management responsibility for other project managers on the scheme.Shared Requirements

Candidates must have proven, client-side experience in delivering major rail infrastructure projects, including station builds or depots.A strong track record of dealing with both internal and external stakeholders, particularly within the public sector, is essential.Experience working with NEC contractsWhile not essential, Welsh language skills are considered highly desirable.Logistics
