Quantity SurveyorLocation: PrestonSalary: £60,000 including car allowanceHours: 8:00am-5:00pmWorking Pattern: Office-basedExperience: 5-10+ yearsThe OpportunityAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join an established and growing construction business based in Preston.This is a great opportunity for a commercially driven QS looking for ownership, variety and responsibility, with the chance to manage multiple live projects across a diverse range of sectors.The business works across Commercial, Industrial, Insurance, and Civils, with project values ranging from £100k to £5m.The RoleYou will take commercial responsibility for several projects at any one time, working closely with the operational team to ensure projects are delivered successfully and profitably.Key responsibilities include: Managing the commercial performance of multiple projects. Preparing budgets, forecasts and cost reports. Subcontractor procurement, tendering and negotiation. Managing valuations, applications and payments. Managing variations and commercial risk. Cost control and cash flow management. Agreeing subcontractor and client final accounts. Working closely with Project Managers and site teams. Identifying commercial opportunities and protecting project margins.
