Quantity SurveyorDevonMain Contractor A well-established and highly regarded main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team in Devon. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of your own projects and play a key role in delivering a diverse portfolio of construction schemes. The successful candidate will work closely with project and operational teams, providing commercial and contractual support from pre-construction through to final account. Projects are typically delivered across sectors including Education, Healthcare, Industrial, Commercial and Leisure, with values generally up to 20m. The RoleAs Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of allocated projects, ensuring financial performance and contractual obligations are effectively controlled throughout the project lifecycle. Key responsibilities will include: Managing the commercial and financial performance of construction projects.Preparing accurate cost reports, forecasts and cost value reconciliations.Managing project budgets, expenditure and cash flow.Procuring and appointing subcontractors in line with project and contractual requirements.Managing subcontractor accounts, including valuations, payments and commercial queries.Preparing and submitting applications for payment and ensuring effective cash recovery.Identifying and agreeing variations, compensation events, claims and additional payments.Working closely with ..... full job details .....
