Quantity Surveyor

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor.

Enabling works have already started on site, and the project is set to get fully underway this January. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-profile, secure-environment project, offering a flexible hybrid working model split between working from home or from the Bristol office 3 days a week, and 2 days a week on site in Exeter.

The Project & Scope of Works:

The project covers a diverse range of packages across the facility, giving you great exposure to varied technical works. Packages include (but are not limited to):

• Full CCTV replacement
• Kitchen refit
• Gas works

(Note: Candidates do not need prior experience across every single package listed above)

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing package procurement, subcontractor management, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
• Working closely with the project delivery team to ensure commercial control and financial reporting.
• Administering subcontract forms and managing cost-value reconciliations (CVR).
• Ensuring compliance with strict secure-site protocols and security clearance procedures.

What We Are Looking For:

• Proven commercial experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally coming from a Main Contractor background.
• Previous experience within the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) or secure/custodial environments would be an advantage, though not essential.
• Able to work autonomously and manage packages efficiently across hybrid settings.
• Must be willing and able to undergo SC Clearance.
