Quantity Surveyor

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, an established and growing Main Contractor, who are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years'' experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a Main Contractor and will have a strong commercial understanding of construction projects. The contractor works across a varied portfolio of projects, including Traditional Contracting, Design and Build and Cladding Remediation Works. The Role As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of projects from procurement through to completion and final account. Key responsibilities: Commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to completion. Managing project budgets, cost reports, forecasts and cash flow. Procurement and management of subcontractor packages. Preparing and negotiating subcontract orders. Managing subcontractor valuations, variations and final accounts. Preparing client valuations and applications for payment. Managing variations and additional works. Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities. Reviewing drawings, specifications and scopes of work. Working closely with Project Managers, Contracts Managers, design teams and site teams. Preparing and agreeing final accounts.
