Quantity Surveyor

Construction QS 

Plymouth- £40,000 - £50,000 per annum

We are in search for a up and coming experienced Qs with circa 2 years minimum experience to work in Plymouth, for a award winning construction client specialising in Commercial, Industrial and domestic projects due to how busy the client is getting.

Due to the continued and organic growth of the company they are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work from there office in Plymouth on multiple commercial projects within the South West for their T1 contractor customers with values ranging from £50k up to £2million.


Daily Tasks Include:

• Prepare project specific tender and contract documents.
• Monitor and control costs across several projects.
• Identify commercial risk and the likeliness of cost variation.
• Track any changes to the design or actual work and adjust budget projections.
• Value completed works and invoice to contractors, including extras and day works.
• Attending site to ensure monthly measures and valuations are correct.
• Liaise with and maintain excellent relationships with our customers and workforce.

Essential Requirements:

• Experience in commercial projects (i.e. education, leisure, MOD, office, etc.)
• Minimum two years experience in a quantity surveyor role.
• Must be thorough and pay attention to detail.
• Excellent numeracy skills
• Ability to use your initiative.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Full UK driving licence.
• CSCS card.

The role would suit someone who has previously worked for a leading main contractor overseeing several packages or, someone who has held a similar role for a minimum of two years.
