Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor - Devonport Dockyard (Plymouth)
Rate: Up to -430 per day (Umbrella PAYE)
We''re looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a major redevelopment project within Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile, secure MOD site within a dynamic commercial team.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide commercial and contractual support to ensure project performance targets are met
• Manage cost reporting, forecasting, and budget monitoring
• Measure works and agree valuations with clients and subcontractors
• Oversee subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and account management
• Ensure effective cash flow and timely payments
• Administer contract changes and manage commercial risks

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role (construction/infrastructure preferred)
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts
• Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience) in a commercial/quantity surveying discipline
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

• Experience with CEMAR and Coins/Causeway systems
• Professional accreditation (e.g. RICS, ICE)

Security Clearance:
Due to site requirements, BPSS clearance is required (can take up to 8 weeks). Applicants must have lived in the UK for the past 5 years and hold a NATO/MISWG country passport.
