Quantity Surveyor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier One Main Contractor, overseeing commercial activities across two major construction projects valued at 35m and 60m. We are looking for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in main contracting, who is comfortable working on site and taking ownership of subcontract packages from procurement through to final account. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing packages independently, working closely with site teams and maintaining strong commercial control throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Manage the commercial delivery of subcontract packages across two major construction projects. Take full commercial responsibility for allocated packages, from procurement and subcontract negotiation through to final account. Prepare, manage and monitor cost reports, forecasts and budgets. Review subcontractor applications for payment, variations and compensation events where applicable. Identify, value and manage variations, change control and commercial risks. Procure subcontractors and negotiate competitive package terms. Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and the wider project team to ensure commercial and operational objectives are achieved.
