About the Role
Due to increasing workload following a successful year, we are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join an established construction team.
Our client is a nationwide construction contractor specialising in commercial and residential projects across the UK, with project values typically ranging from -500k to -12m.
The successful candidate will manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, working closely with project teams to ensure commercial success and contractual compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Project cost management and financial control
- Monthly financial reporting and forecasting
- Contract administration and compliance
- Supplier and subcontractor negotiations
- Change order management and variations
- Final account preparations and settlements
- Client liaison and progress meetings
- Risk assessment and mitigation
Essential Requirements
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying
- Minimum 5 years'' experience in main contractor commercial management
- Strong knowledge of standard construction contracts (JCT/NEC)
- Experience working for a main contractor on construction projects
- Proficiency in construction software and Excel
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Full UK driving licence
