Location: Eastbourne, East Sussex (with projects across the Home Counties)

Company:
I’m currently working with a well-established specialist subcontractor in the construction sector who are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of high-profile projects, from multi-million-pound student accommodation schemes to complex refurbishment works.

The Role:

• Generating Applications for Payment (Valuations).
• Pricing Variations & additional work.
• Checking fortnightly Sub-Contractor labour invoices & issuing of Payment Notices. Liaising with Sub-Contractors regards claims for additional works. Logging payments made.
• Assisting with the checking of Sub-Contracts & all associated Numbered Documents.
• Attending Pre-Contract Meetings with our perspective clients. Negotiating terms.
• Quantifying work using our onscreen measuring software.
• Liaising with our Project Managers & visiting our live projects. Providing support to our delivery teams.
   

Who Th’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction sector, ideally from a sub-contractor.
  Knowledge of dry-lining, screeding, partitions, or similar trades is a strong advantage.
  Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and commercial awareness.
  A collaborative team player who thrives in a busy, project-focused environment.
   

Additional Information:

• Based at their Eastbourne offices. Occasional working from home is open to discussion. 
• Salary ranging from £40k to £60k per annum, dependant on experience and capability.
